The Gulf District Adult School welcomes Brenda Wood

Brenda Wood is new to Gulf District Adult School but not new to teaching. Mrs. Wood received her BS in Elementary Education from Florida State University. She brings 27 years of teaching experience to her new position. Having taught grades 4-6 at Port St. Joe Elementary school, Mrs. Wood is excited about a new opportunity at the Adult School.  Last year, she was recognized by Florida Department of Education’s Commissioner Pam Stewart as a “High Impact Teacher” in the state of Florida.

Mrs. Wood is thrilled with her new position and has high expectations for her students.

“I have found my job to be both rewarding and challenging as I motivate and push my students to earn either a high school diploma or GED” said Mrs. Wood.
